一、分数、小数和百分数 
1．分数表示法 
分数的分子用基数词，分母用序数词。如：one fifth 五分之一。   
当分子大于 1 时，分母用序数词的复数。如：two thirds 三分之二。  
当分母是 2 和 4 时，分别可以用 half 和 quarter 代替。 
如：a half 二分之一；three quarters 四分之三 
带分数的表示法：1 1/2 one and a half；1 1/4 one and a quarter 
2．小数表示法   
小数点读作 point，小数点前后的数用基数词表示。如： 
       0.04  zero point zero four. 
3．百分数表示法  
百分数用 percent 表示。如：40%, forty percent 
4．分数、百分数与主谓一致 
分数、百分数的考查往往和主谓一致相联系。当分数、百分数修饰可数
名词的复数时，谓语动词用复数形式；当分数、百分数修饰不可数名词
时，谓语动词用单数形式。如： 
Eighty percent of the students in our school come from Henan.  
Two thirds of the water on the earth is sea water.  
 
二、数词的某些特殊用法 
1．表示概数 
用 ten, dozen, score, hundred, thousand, million 等的复数形式与 of 短语
连用，不能与具体数目连用。如：dozens of / hundreds of people 
2．表示“年代” 
用 in ＋the ＋ 数词复数/数词's，如：in the 1990s / in the 1990's( 20 世
纪 90 年代)  
3．表示“几十岁”时 
用逢十的基数词的复数形式，如：in one's twenties(在某人 20 多岁时)，
但是，表示“十几岁”要用 in one's teens 来表示，不能说 in one's tens。 
4．表示某人几岁的确切年龄，  
用“基础词＋years old”或“基数词＋of age”或者“at the age of＋基数
词”，也可以直接用基数词。 
5．表示长、宽、高、面积等，  
用基数词＋单位词(meter，foot，inch，kilogram 等)＋形容词(long，wide，
high 等)表示，或者用基数词＋单位词＋in＋名词(length，width，height，
weight 等)表示。 two meters long 或 two meters in length 2 米长； three 
feet high 或 three feet in height 3 英尺高  
6．基数词和名词可以组成复合形容词，  
表示时间、距离等，中间加连字符，名词用单数形式。如：a three-day 
holiday，也可使用含数词的名词所有格形式作定语，如：three days' 
holiday 三天的假期；five minutes' walk=a five-minute walk。有的时候，
中间也会有形容词。如：a 50-meter-wide road 一条 50 米宽的路。
